On October 15, 2019, EPA issued a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking on cellulosic biofuel, advanced biofuel, and total renewable fuel volumes for 2020 and the biomass-based diesel volume for 2021. The supplemental notice proposes adjustments to the way annual renewable fuel percentages are calculated. A series of regional meetings in 2019 are giving Kansans the opportunity to help shape the future of transportation in Kansas. These Local Consult meetings will inform the state's next Long Range Transportation Plan, the planning document that will guide investments from 2020 to 2045. That document will shape the state's next transportation program, known as FORWARD. The first round of Local Consult meetings took place in eight communities around the state.
