02 Nov Renew Kansas Hosts Barnstorm Rally With Kansas Candidates
Renew Kansas Biofuels Association, alongside the Kansas Grain and Feed Association (KGFA) and Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association (KARA), hosted a Barnstorm campaign rally Monday, Nov. 2, at the KGFA office in Topeka.
The event featured U.S. Rep. Derek Schmidt, who represents Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District, and Sen. Jeff Klemp, candidate for Kansas lieutenant governor. Approximately 40 people attended, including several members of the Kansas House and Senate.
During the visit, Klemp discussed the importance of Kansas agriculture and the state’s biofuels industry. He highlighted the role renewable fuels play in supporting demand for Kansas-grown commodities, creating jobs in rural communities and contributing to economic growth throughout the state.
“Biofuels are an important part of Kansas agriculture and our rural economy,” Renew Kansas President and CEO Ron Seeber said. “Ty Masterson and Jeff Klemp understand the value of having a strong market for Kansas commodities and the importance of the biofuels industry to our state.”
The visit provided an opportunity for association members and guests to engage with candidates and discuss issues affecting Kansas agriculture, renewable fuels and the state’s economic future.
